Our Principal

Mount Carmel College for Women, started in the year 1948, owned and managed by the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST), in order to impart quality education for women. The Institute of the Carmelites Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST) was founded in 1887 by Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima in the town of Ernakulum in Kerala. An educationist with a spiritual and social thrust and great zeal, Mother Teresa was convinced that all human beings are children of God, with a right to live with dignity. She read the signs of the times, foresaw the future, and oriented her ministries to eradicate the social evils prevalent in society and to create a culture of love, life and fellowship. 

 Mount Carmel Central School (MCCS) began its journey dedicated to quality value-based education in 2017, under the umbrella of Mount Carmel College.   The school is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi No.831084. MCCS is an Institution known for its academic excellence and vibrant campus culture which give students an opportunity for all round growth. We nurture and create leaders of tomorrow who become the agents of transformation and change in society and the nation. 

Mount Carmel Central School stands tall not only in structural prominence but also in academic distinction and honourable repute backed with a rich experience of 75 years in the noble field of education. With its inspiring ambience, Carmel provides an environment that stimulates growth and character development in a child. 

We, at MCCS, strive to make this Institution a better place for the overall development of a child, taking steps in that direction every day. I consider myself very fortunate to work with many dedicated, innovative and caring staff members, parents and students.  Each day is filled with new experiences, learning for all, and the ability to make the life of our students better. 

Parents are an important stakeholders in our educational system. Their consistent support empowers us to excel in our mission. I pay my gratitude to them for their faith in us.
