Welcome to Mount Carmel Central School!
Mount Carmel College for Women, established in 1948 and managed by the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST), was founded with the mission of imparting quality education to women. The Institute of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST) itself was founded in 1887 by the visionary Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima in Ernakulam, Kerala.
A passionate educationist with a deep spiritual and social commitment, Mother Teresa believed that every human being is a child of God, deserving to live with dignity. She recognized the signs of the times, foresaw the future, and dedicated her ministry to eradicating social evils, fostering a culture of love, life, and fellowship.
Mount Carmel Central School (MCCS) began its journey in 2017 under the umbrella of Mount Carmel College, committed to providing quality, value-based education. Affiliated to the CBSE, New Delhi (Affiliation No. 831084), MCCS is renowned for academic excellence and a vibrant campus culture that nurtures holistic growth. We aim to create leaders of tomorrow who will become agents of transformation and positive change in society and the nation.
MCCS stands tall not just in its architectural prominence but also in academic distinction and an honorable reputation, backed by 75 years of rich experience in the noble field of education.
